Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Modern Taste, we strive to ensure that every product reaches our customers in excellent condition. Due to the nature of food and spice products, our return, refund, and cancellation policy is outlined below.
1. Order Cancellation
- Customers may request cancellation of an order before it has been processed or shipped.
- Once an order has been shipped, cancellation requests cannot be accepted.
- Modern Taste reserves the right to cancel any order due to:
- Product unavailability
- Pricing or technical errors
- Suspected fraudulent transactions
- Operational limitations
- If an order is cancelled by Modern Taste after payment has been received, a full refund will be processed.
2. Returns
For safety, hygiene, and food quality reasons, food and spice products are generally non-returnable once delivered. Returns will only be considered under the following circumstances:
- Wrong product delivered
- Product received in damaged condition
- Product package found tampered upon delivery
- Missing item(s) in the shipment
3. Reporting an Issue
Customers must report any issue within 48 hours of delivery.

The following details must be provided:
- Order Number
- Customer Name
- Description of the issue
- Clear photographs of the product and packaging
* Failure to report within the specified time may result in rejection of the claim.
4. Refunds and Replacements
After reviewing the claim, Modern Taste may, at its discretion:
- Issue a replacement product
- Issue a refund
- Provide store credit where appropriate
Claims will be evaluated based on the information provided by the customer and internal verification.
5. Refund Processing Time
- Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on banking and payment gateway timelines.
- For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, customers may be required to provide bank account details for refund processing.
6. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds or replacements shall not be provided in the following cases:
- Change of mind after delivery
- Incorrect product selection by the customer
- Failure to provide accurate shipping information
- Minor packaging variations that do not affect product quality
- Delays caused by courier partners beyond our reasonable control
